Edinburgh Fringe 2016 – Volunteering

This year the Fringe is shaping up to be a very exciting programme for Elim. We have a great variety of companies in with a focus on Musical Theatre. If you would like to be involved at helping out, please come along to a meeting after church on Sunday 22nd May after the service.

We open with a concert by our own fabulous Fiona Crow and others presenting an evening of song, dance and art.

Week 1 we are delighted to be welcoming back Pipe Up Productions with storytelling for children in “Once upon a…”. Cutting Edge Theatre are also returning with a new play about Downs Syndrome and love called “Downs with Love” – they will be joined with Ups and Downs Theatre Group who are producing an evening of songs and entertainment. We also are going to run Twinkle Twinkle for toddlers with Annette Graham.

Week 2 brings us Ian Hammond Brown who wrote the record breaking musical “Whisky Galore – a musical!” – directed by Liam Rudden and featuring a professional cast, they will produce a new musical “Carnegie” about Andrew Carnegie.

Week 3 is a full week of exciting West End Theatre performers who are Christians called “West End Has Faith”. This is going to be an evening of musical theatre and testimony. Going to be an amazing way to end the Festival!

Marcus Slater will also be exhibiting work in the foyer and may do some more visual art presentations.

If you are interested in helping, please come to a quick meeting on Sunday 22nd May straight after Church or get in touch with Suzanne
