about church

Edinburgh Elim is one of over 500 Elim Pentecostal churches throughout the UK. Elim has had a congregation in Edinburgh since 1932, and the pentecostal/charismatic movement is reckoned to have in the region of 500 million worldwide adherents.

We value our heritage , but recognise that we are only a part of the wider church community, and as such, Edinburgh Elim maintains and encourages growing relationships with local churches from many denominations and none.

We believe that church should be relevant to today’s society, and our services reflect this, with contemporary worship, life-application teaching, and a full programme of church activities that takes the love of God out into our city. We believe in the permanent and unchanging message of the bible. Find out more about our church vision here.

Our Sunday services take place at 11am in our home , 18 Morningside Rd, Holy Corner. We worship in The Sanctuary, our main meeting space, with our Hub cafe the perfect place to hang out before and after the service. Little Gems, the Edinburgh Elim creche, takes place every Sunday morning along with Activate (Primary School age),  and Attic, the Elim Youth group, meet at night at 6pm in The Hub.

Midweek groups form a big part of church life for us, and we have house meetings all over the city where we can build great friendships, and grow together in our faith and knowledge of God.

We’ve also got lots of social activities ranging from coffee to football, stuff for the kids on Sundays, and a big focus on reaching out to the homeless in our city. Click here to find out more about church life and activities.
