About Mission Poland
For the last two years Marek Jurzyna has been moved by the problems facing many young people in his home country of Poland and in particular around the Katowice are of that nation.
During the October’s of 2012 and 2013 he personally financed a series of concerts and seminar workshops in schools, churches, prisons and theatres where Edinburgh based Scottish singer songwriter Steph MacLeod used his music to create a platform to share his journey through addiction and homelessness to faith and addiction free living. They both have a commitment to help educate and support others in addictions and substance abuse to make positive choices in life.
Plans are being made for a third trip in October 2014 as more and more groups would like to have Marek and Steph come and reach out to their young people with a message that is entertaining, a warning and a challenge.
To this end Marek is raising funds in the region of £1,500 to underwrite the costs of this year’s trip including the Mission Poland: Ceilidh on Saturday 24th May.
